All the Difference

Filmed over five and a half years, All The Difference interweaves the stories of two young men, Robert Henderson and Krishaun Branch, as they finish high school and go on to college. Both come from challenging communities in Chicago and are the first in their families to attend college. Yet, they have defied the statistics that predict they have a slim chance of graduating high school and an even lesser chance of going to college.

Inspired by Wes Moore’s best-selling book, The Other Wes Moore, and directed by Academy Award®-nominated and national Emmy winning producer/director Tod Lending, the film explores the factors in their lives (education, parents and grandparents, teachers, role models, personal drive, and community support) that made All The Difference in helping them be the first in their families to escape poverty and secure a place in the middle class.

Inspirational and compelling, All the Difference aired nationally on the PBS award-winning POV series in September 2016 and screened at the White House in November 2016 as part of the My Brother's Keeper initiative. It also has a comprehensive outreach strategy that is bringing the film to high school and college students and counselors, university administrators and faculty, nonprofit organizations, and education policymakers throughout the United States.
